The champ is here.

The thrift champ is HERE. edgy-roof-moschino-1547Listen, I’ve been in this thrifting game for a minute; some would even say, I’m true to this. Still, there are moments in the midst of my shopping excursions when I exceed my own expectations; i.e. this vintage Moschino jacket. edgy-roof-moschino-1567I’ve chronicled my NYC thrifting struggles in the past, but #ICYMI, New York’s “thrifting” scene in nothing like that of which I was spoiled by in the South. Here, vintage treasures and thrift finds intertwine in an almost sick manner. Salvation Army and Goodwill are equally experiencing identity crisis, as they believe they should charge prices similar to chic Soho boutique.

In the midst of my frustration, I have found refuge in Buffalo Exhange, where this neon gem was discovered.

In this look, it’s needless to say that this jacket speaks for itself, because of this, the styling process was pretty simple. To keep in theme with NYC’s black-on-black culture, I decided to follow suite and pair the jacket with a black turtleneck bodysuit, black jeans and my favorite winter shoe essential, velvet over-the-knee boots. edgy-roof-moschino-1609

See, one can remain minimal and still invite a bit of edge to the function. Who would have thought it’d come second-hand?

when i first set out to create my blog, i just wanted an outlet to balance my mundane college schedule. but over the years, it has become so much more. writing is how i process my world & the events that take place within it. through, i seek to help my fellow 20-somethings, like me, working to find light when their paths seem darkened and learn from my mistakes so i can save you the trouble of repeating them. is witty, vulnerable, and transparent, but most importantly, it's me, unapologetically. peace, peace, peace Aley Arion business inquiries:
