I’m not always “on”.
As a matter of fact, I prefer baseball caps to fedoras and joggers over gowns. Still, as much as I’d like to claim a commitment to glam, day in and day out, that’s neither true nor realistic. That’s what’s great about balance: whether that be in one’s own personal endeavors or stylistically.
That’s why for today’s look, I thought I’d go ahead and mesh my two style sides: minimal glam, maximum comfort.Who says hoodies are just for lounging and grocery shopping at Trader Joe’s. Why not spruce up one of my weekend wardrobe essentials for a look that I could rock once the errands are complete. I paired my Russell’s hoodie with a pair of self-destressed, thrifted jeans. These are a lot of fun to play with and with the open concept on the knees, I imagine pairing these with fishnet pantyhoses in the near future (that’s one 2017 trend that I’m here for).
But pairing jeans and a hoodie isn’t enough, what will differentiate your look from other individuals seeking cool comfort? Your accessories. I’m a choker addict and I lean on this particular neck snatcher to complete 90% of my daily looks. In this case, I’ve gone with a silver palette: silver choker and minimal studs. The choker speaks for itself, so no need for competition. Since it’s insultingly cold in the city, it was only right (and safe) to add oversized outerwear and a touch of fur to complete the look. Oh! And my Max Mara shades cause even when it’s cloudy, I still shine, baby.
