Sup Royalty,

By no means do I claim to be a sneakerhead.

No, I can’t tell you my favorite Jordan by its number and I pray I’m never a victim of a “What Are Thooooosssseeeee” encounter.

However, I will say that I know a fly, quality sneaker when I see one.

My taste is changing and my style is evolving; and during this exploration period, I’m starting to rediscover the inner sneaker enthusiast that was silenced during 6th grade when I had to settle for K-Swiss Classics from Shoe Carnival during back-to-school shopping. At any rate, I’ve had some time to fall head over heels in love with 10 pairs of sneakers that the financially stable, future me will one day be able to afford. Check out my picks below (in no particular order):

1.) New Balance Sorbet Running Sneaker: I firmly believe that New Balances are the most classic, yet underrated sneaker out. The style, comfort and versatility of them go unmatched. I just love the ones below that are peach colored and super girly! I can definitely see myself rocking these with some boyfriends jeans or even a tank dress paired with a denim jacket and calling it a day.

2.) Nike Air Max Thea Premium Sneaker: C’mon, you can’t go wrong with having a nude sneaker in your rotation.

3.) Vans Sk8-HI: Just a chill shoe to wear with your favorite skinny jeans and graphic tee.

4.) Adidas Original Superstar: Channeling my inner Missy Elliott. These are straight classic. *cues Club bomb*

5.) Nike Air Huarache Black: Okay, even though it seems like everyone and they’re mama has these shoes, I couldn’t care less. I needs theses!

6.) Nike Air Force 1 07 Suede Red Trainers: I was in Foot Locker the other day when I first saw these. Y’all, I was postive that I found bae in sneaker form. Love. At. First. Sight.

7.) adidas Originals Gazelle OG Solid Grey Trainers: My love for grey has intensified as of lately; its one of the colors I see taking over my closet soon. These shoes are a must have.

8.) Reebok Classic White Leather Trainers: These puppies take me back to 5th grade when they were the only shoe my mom could afford for us. Crazy how styles come around full circle.

9.) Puma x Solange Suede Classic Woven Sneakers: Solange has been killing the shoe game ever since she began her collaboration with Puma. As her best friends (in my head & heart) I fully support her new spin on the classic Puma design; and in mustard?! Yes, please!

10.) adidas Originals Yeezy Boost 350: I’m just waiting on Kanye to deliver on his promise to make these available to us “common” folk. But in the meantime, a girls can dream, right?

This concludes my list of sneaker must-haves. Which ones were your favorite? Let me know in the comments below and tell me your dream sneaker!

You’ve just been served.
