Sup Royalty,

Ahh, I think it’s safe to say that spring is officially here and oh, how I’ve missed it. Considering how stressful these past couple of days/weeks have been, it’s good to see the sun and feel it’s warmth. (LONGEST.WINTER.EVER) Since my last post, I’m now one step closer to graduation by completing my thesis presentation and most of my main class projects have been wrapped up, but I still have a little ways to go before I reach the mountaintop; that being the stage I walk across during graduation (lol).

I’ve been really inspired by the 70’s lately, so I wanted to play out this fascination through today’s outfit. Since the weather permitted, I decided to show some leg with this romper that I DIY’d. It was originally a jumpsuit, but since I’m tall, it flooded on me, so instead of getting rid of it, I pulled out the scissors and made some alterations. For coverage, I paired the romper with a black mesh cardigan that I got from H&M while I was in Charlotte. A mesh cardigan comes in handy during the spring since it provides breathability and coverage without taking away from your entire look. As finishing touches, I wore my black strapped sandals from ASOS and for jewelry, I coupled a DIY’d black choker (out of an old t-shirt) along with my staple gold necklaces. Check out the completed look below and let me know what you think. What looks are you trying out this spring? Leave your comments below!

P.S. In the midst of classwork and meeting my graduation requirements, I’ve been working on a few projects that I’m super excited to share with you all very soon, so stay tuned, babes 🙂

when i first set out to create my blog, i just wanted an outlet to balance my mundane college schedule. but over the years, it has become so much more. writing is how i process my world & the events that take place within it. through, i seek to help my fellow 20-somethings, like me, working to find light when their paths seem darkened and learn from my mistakes so i can save you the trouble of repeating them. is witty, vulnerable, and transparent, but most importantly, it's me, unapologetically. peace, peace, peace Aley Arion business inquiries:
