Sup Royalty,

I’m back with a new OOTD post in light of my severe case of Senioritis. Let me tell you all; the struggle is too real! I’m officially  in over my head, and honesty, May 9, 2015 (my graduation date) could not get here any quicker! It seems like everything from my work load to personal life is getting either more intense or unmanageable and it’s even effecting my ability to put together a decent outfit! I really want to, I really do, but all of the energy I’m able to muster up must go straight into finishing my thesis, and simply getting up for class, which, did I mention, start at either 8am or 9am all week?? Look, no senior should be living like this (lol) but, by the grace of God, I can say that I’m making it.

In the mist of my dismay, I have managed to create a method that has helped me get through my outfit selection process, allowing me to look half decent on my off days, and fly when I’m on. Let’s begin:

Bottoms: Skinny jeans are my staple! I’ve literally removed any pants from my closets that have a hemline exceeding more than 5 inches in diameter. As a tall girl, skinny jeans elongate my legs and look good with pretty much any type of shirt, blouse, or sweater. In this look, I am wearing my a pair that I DIY’ed with minor cuts at and above the knee.

Tops: During this transitional season from winter to spring, I enjoy alternating my tops between flowy shirts, chunky sweaters or cardigans, and hoodies (for my off days). Today was unusually hot, almost summer like, so I went with an oversized, floral print shirt that I thrifted a while back.

Shoes and accessories: Gold, gold, and more gold! This particular metal complements my complexion very well and gives me an edge that I go for in all of my looks. For shoes, I love to add height to my frame, and these ankle boots from ASOS always come through for me.

So there you have it, a complete look with little effort and all of the fabulousness still included! If you’re ever in need of a quick outfit just remember my formula, Simple Top + Skinny Jeans + Funky Shoes & Accessories = a simple and fierce ensemble! Check out my complete look below and comment telling me that you think? How do you pull off your off days? I’d love to hear!

when i first set out to create my blog, i just wanted an outlet to balance my mundane college schedule. but over the years, it has become so much more. writing is how i process my world & the events that take place within it. through aleyarion.com, i seek to help my fellow 20-somethings, like me, working to find light when their paths seem darkened and learn from my mistakes so i can save you the trouble of repeating them. aleyarion.com is witty, vulnerable, and transparent, but most importantly, it's me, unapologetically. peace, peace, peace Aley Arion business inquiries: aleyarion@gmail.com
