Sup Royalty,

Even though the semester is coming to an end, it feels like the class projects are just beginning. One paper here, another presentation there, goodness, when will it end?! Today, I had two projects to present, so I had to look my best. Since I’m a marketing major, it’s important for me to know how to dress professionally, but as a fashion scholar, it’s just as important to know how to incorporate my own spin while upholding a sense of professionalism. For this look, I wore my thrifted, cream knit sweater with a black midi-skirt. I added my knee high socks and boots to make the look a bit more sassy. Don’t get me wrong, I would definitely not wear this particular assemble on the job or during an internship, instead I would substitute the of the skirt and knee-highs, for a pair of trousers and pair them with some simple ballet flats. Did you enjoy this look? Like and tell me in the comments below how you dress up for class presentations.

when i first set out to create my blog, i just wanted an outlet to balance my mundane college schedule. but over the years, it has become so much more. writing is how i process my world & the events that take place within it. through aleyarion.com, i seek to help my fellow 20-somethings, like me, working to find light when their paths seem darkened and learn from my mistakes so i can save you the trouble of repeating them. aleyarion.com is witty, vulnerable, and transparent, but most importantly, it's me, unapologetically. peace, peace, peace Aley Arion business inquiries: aleyarion@gmail.com
