Let’s be honest: when the winter weather hits, we tend to believe that we must decide between being cute or being warm. But I’m a firm believer in compromise, so I say, why not both? It’s day two of Homecoming and the weather was awfully bitter, still, that didn’t keep me from bringing out my inner fashionista. If you ever experience this dilemma, my advice would be to pick a warm piece of clothing, in this case, a sweater, that you can dress up; and with a right accessories and shoes, there’s not need to sacrifice your dopeness. You can also layer your sweater by adding a collared shirt underneath or even a turtleneck. As for me, I decided to base my outfit around this cozy knit sweater that I salvaged from Goodwill. The material was pretty thick, so I was well protected against the cutting winds. For bottoms, I wore my DIY knee-ripped jeans from Gap and completed the look with my knee-high boots and Sugar Plum Fairy lipstick from Wet n’ Wild. Check out the full look below and tell me what you think. How do you stay cute during the cold months?

when i first set out to create my blog, i just wanted an outlet to balance my mundane college schedule. but over the years, it has become so much more. writing is how i process my world & the events that take place within it. through aleyarion.com, i seek to help my fellow 20-somethings, like me, working to find light when their paths seem darkened and learn from my mistakes so i can save you the trouble of repeating them. aleyarion.com is witty, vulnerable, and transparent, but most importantly, it's me, unapologetically. peace, peace, peace Aley Arion business inquiries: aleyarion@gmail.com
