I only have two words for Charleston Fashion Week: simply amazing! My time in Charleston provided me with a look inside the sweet and chic edge to this Southern fashion district. It was such a pleasure to volunteer and assist in greeting/seating guest and audience members. Trust me, when working your way into the fashion industry, you have to start somewhere, and there’s no shame in getting your hands dirty while volunteering. Having the opportunity to be in the same room as legendary shoe designers Steve Madden, a number of fashion designers and stylist, and fellow young ambitious fashion lovers was a dream come true. I can’t wait until next year, but who knows… Charleston Fashion Week today, New York Fashion Week tomorrow!

As you may already expect, the level of street style out in Charleston was fabulous; so much so that I just had to capture the looks. Featured are fashion stylist, and host of Charleston Fashion Week, Ayoka Lucas, photographer Sabastian Smith (in Japanese denim), and more. Peep the looks below, and tell me: which is your favorite style moment?

when i first set out to create my blog, i just wanted an outlet to balance my mundane college schedule. but over the years, it has become so much more. writing is how i process my world & the events that take place within it. through aleyarion.com, i seek to help my fellow 20-somethings, like me, working to find light when their paths seem darkened and learn from my mistakes so i can save you the trouble of repeating them. aleyarion.com is witty, vulnerable, and transparent, but most importantly, it's me, unapologetically. peace, peace, peace Aley Arion business inquiries: aleyarion@gmail.com
