Sup Royalty,

There’s been a lot going on in my life lately. It hasn’t been anything terribly bad; just situations that have caused a great deal of reflection to take place within myself.

Being a 20 year old college student, working towards being in the fashion industry can be extremely trying. You tend to see people on Instagram, Twitter, or even on your campus who seem like they have it all together; and you may question why you are not as far along as they seem to be. Do you know what the problem is with this? You are comparing yourself instead of focusing on your own journey! I have been guilty of this and anytime that I may find myself repeating this behavior, I have to quickly snap myself back I to reality.

Truth is, no one has is all figured out. Point blank. And when we put others on imaginary pedestals, we are automatically shrinking ourselves and our potential. So let’s get out of this habit and focus our energy on things that will uplift ourselves and and those around us; because there’s a difference between glorification and up-lift.

The future can be scary; not doubt.I know for myself that I was tripping about some things because my path has seemed so uncertain and consumed by a thick, foggy haze. But what I had to realize is that the God I serve is way bigger than the issues that I have created for myself. He has a plan for me and a plan for you too;and as soon as you let go of the fear, anxiety, and doubt that has been holding you back, you will then allow God to take you far beyond what you could ever think or ask for. Remember Jeremiah 33:3, “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” God is not a liar, so trust in his word and give him a try.

Stay encouraged on your journey Fashionistas and Fashionistos. I pray that his light may guide you on your journey. And fell free to tell me what you think; I love reading comments.

when i first set out to create my blog, i just wanted an outlet to balance my mundane college schedule. but over the years, it has become so much more. writing is how i process my world & the events that take place within it. through, i seek to help my fellow 20-somethings, like me, working to find light when their paths seem darkened and learn from my mistakes so i can save you the trouble of repeating them. is witty, vulnerable, and transparent, but most importantly, it's me, unapologetically. peace, peace, peace Aley Arion business inquiries:
